The Characteristics of the BJ-CAT

BJ-CAT measures the business Japanese proficiency of business Japanese learners. BJ-CAT will help international students and workers in getting a job, joining an internship and improving skills at workplaces.

The Purpose of BJ-CAT

BJ-CAT measures the business Japanese proficiency of business Japanese learners. BJ-CAT will help international students and workers in getting a job, joining an internship and improving skills at workplaces.

BJ-CAT takes 60 to 90 minutes.

  • 2015  Establishment of prototype question items and its development.
  • 2016  Pretests in Japan and overseas.
  • 2017  The BJ-CAT system was setup and the pilot BJ-CAT started its operation. IRT and correlation analysis were discussed.
